The Boston Globe named Kat Roberts, Victoria Scott and Lizzie Williamson of the MVRHS Division III State Championship tennis team as 2017 All-Scholastics. Roberts compiled a 20-1 record at first singles and reached the semi-finals of the South Sectional Championship. Scott and Williamson, who have a two-year record of 50-0 at first doubles, repeated for the second consecutive year as All-Scholastics and also as State Individual Doubles Champions. Coach Nina Bramhall, who has led the team to a three-year record of 65-1 and three consecutive Division III State Championships, was named Division III Coach of the Year, garnering the honor for the second time in three years. Roberts, Scott, Williamson and second singles teammate Kelly Klaren were also named as Eastern Athletic Conference All-Stars. The girls train at Vineyard Youth Tennis in the off-season.
